Volunteer at Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit botanical garden, Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens relies on the passion and dedication of our local community. Volunteering inside our 100-year-old limestone quarry is a rewarding way to learn about Florida conservation, meet new friends, and help us maintain our 20-acre sanctuary.
Attention Students: Need to build up your community service or Bright Futures volunteer hours? We would love to have you on our team! Volunteering at the gardens is a fantastic way to gain hands-on outdoor experience while fulfilling your required hours.
How You Can Help
Whether you are a student, a master gardener, or simply a nature lover who wants to spend more time outdoors, we have a variety of rewarding tasks for you to help with, including:
Trail Path Care & Cleaning
Sweep pathways, remove fallen limbs or debris. Wipe down benches, tables, and clear cobwebs from pavilions, gazebos, tents, and bathrooms.
Special Events Team
Assisting with ticketing, parking, guest services, plant pickup and cleaning. Assist with children's crafts, and prep upcoming event materials.
Animal Area Care
Helping our staff maintain clean habitats and storage areas for our rescued resident animals.
Guest Amenities
Wipe down benches and tables throughout the gardens, and sweep the back porch and sidewalks of the block house.
For seasoned volunteers who have spent time getting to know our grounds and operations, we offer advanced roles in Admissions & Guest Relations, as well as Advanced Animal Care.
