Join us for a peaceful morning of gentle movement, mindful walking, and quiet reflection in the beautiful setting of Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens.
Our journey will take us along the garden trails, where we’ll pause throughout the walk to practice simple standing tai chi movements that promote balance, flexibility, coordination, and relaxation. Along the way, we’ll take time to notice the surrounding landscape—the unique limestone formations, native plants, and tranquil waters that make the gardens so special.
The experience also includes guided breathing exercises and a seated meditation, offering time to slow down, quiet the mind, and reconnect with both nature and yourself.
This class is suitable for beginners and anyone looking for a gentle, restorative way to move, breathe, and experience the healing presence of nature.
Please note: Participants should be comfortable walking on uneven garden paths and natural terrain.

Nurture your Mind, Body & Spirit in the peaceful beauty of Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens.
Our journey begins with a gentle walk along the garden trails, inviting you to slow down and awaken your senses. We will then gather on a quiet island surrounded by the serene limestone quarry, where the calming sounds of nature become part of our practice.
Together, we’ll move through a gentle, beginner-friendly mat yoga class designed to release tension, improve mobility, and cultivate inner peace. Breathwork and a guided meditation will help you connect with the earth beneath you, the water surrounding you, and the stillness within.
Students should bring a yoga mat and be comfortable walking on uneven garden paths. No previous yoga experience is necessary—just a willingness to slow down, breathe, and connect with nature.
Preparing for your journey:
Bring a yoga mat and a carrying strap/bag if you have one; we will be carrying our mats as we walk through the gardens to reach out quarry-island setting.
Bring a water bottle
Wear sunscreen, bug spray, hat and/or sunglasses if desired
Wear comfortable clothing
Please note: Participants should be comfortable walking on uneven garden paths and natural terrain.
